Center for Human Development's Training Center provides customized workshops for youth or adults to meet the specific needs of your school, community, or business. Our experienced staff can provide training in any of our programs and a wide variety of related topics.

TRIBES: CREATING COMMUNITY FOR WORKING, LEARNING, AND LIVING

TRIBES is an interactive training designed to build self-esteem, responsible behavior, and improved learning in a safe and comfortable environment. TRIBES helps facilitators of all types — teachers, youth leaders, support group facilitators — to promote the strengths and unique abilities of their group members. The TRIBES process is the framework for all CHD programs.

ANGER MANAGEMENT FOR FAMILIES

Anger Mangement for Families is designed to demystify anger and reveal its healthy side. The workshop provides the skills for uncovering sources of anger, anticipating potential future triggers, and managing conflicts safely and with confidence. Teens who are 15 or older are invited to participate with their families to learn and practice non-blaming communication. The program is also offered in Spanish.

STRENGTHENING FAMILY TIES

Strengthening Family Ties is a skills workshop designed to assist parents in developing clear guidelines and positive communication with their elementary-age children. The program promotes resiliency by encouraging increased involvement between parents and children. The series is adaptable to a variety of settings and can be delivered in English or Spanish.

ADVENTURE PROGRAM

Adventure Program is a team-building training that challenges group members to grow in mind, body, and spirit. Activities with our Portable Challenge Kit help group members learn how to cooperate with one another, build teamwork, and create a high level of trust. Participants are encouraged to take low-level risks both individually and collectively.
